3 Brunch Spots in Brooklyn, NYC
In New York there are no shortages when it comes to food options. Every block is an a holds a potential feast. This year I stay in Brooklyn for the first time, Williamsburg was no exception when it came to treating my taste buds, here are some of my new favourite brunch places…
This aussie expresso bar is a hidden gem located on Metropolitan Avenue, this small coffee shop has a longer drinks menu than food list. But I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed by the choices. If you’re after something savoury, ‘The Mess’ is a must. Toasted cheddar biscuit laced with vibrant spring onions topped with black bean salsa and eggs.
With a vast menu, the beautiful setting of Cafe Colette is the perfect place to meet loved ones for brunch or an early morning coffee. The simple, rustic food is paired with friendly service. The food is primarily locally sourced and includes meat, eggs, and dairy that are free range, antibiotic free, and organic. I opted for the poached eggs with are served with crispy polenta, crunchy tender stem broccoli, roasted tomatoes and a welcomed sprinkle of parmesan. Never one to pass on bacon, I opted for a side. The menu changes seasonally so it’s worth checking the dishes online before you go. It’s hard to pick, don’t say I didn’t want you…
SUNDAYS IN BROOKLYN
Some places don’t live up to the hype, others do. Sunday in Brooklyn is one of the places which exceeds the hype. The beautifully sun drenched corner space covers three floors and the produced used is locally and sustainably sourced. Another menus which is switched up seasonally. But I implore you to try the Hazelnut-Maple Praline Pancakes and brown butter… you won’t have tasted pancakes like these before!
